Everything Changes

Five years ago I was in the hospital fighting for my life after having a stroke. This past week my youngest daughter was stressed about a class that she did ver well in at the final stage. Several years ago I sat beside my eldest daughter and helped her complete her homework accompanied by a lot of crying and heartache. Now she excels in every subject.

The point I am trying to drive home is that nothing stays the same. When you are in the thick of it, one can easily be overwhelmed and become focused on all the “bad” that is before you. Also known as “woe is me”.  I have been there and it is a difficult place to be.

If today seems all bad, and it truly may be. I mean we are in the middle of COVID-19. Seriously 2020? Get it together!

Nevertheless, I encourage you to take a few deep breaths and think of one thing that was good or even great. Learn from the bad and if you can help it don’t repeat it. If it cannot be helped remain grateful that you know how to find the silver lining in any situation. If you have not conquered that yet, don’t fret, it’s in the making.

It may sound crazy, but I know it is possible. I speak from experience on this one. But, remember if it’s all just too much there is never any shame in getting professional help from a doctor or counselor. Love and light to you during these uncertain times.
