Being content in all things is not always easy to do. This is especially hard when life is coming at you fast and you feel like everything around you is crumbling.
After my stroke there was a time when I was on the brink of total despair. That feeling envelopes you and can swallow you whole.
It was there that I learned to be content in all things. “Wasted time” became cherished moments and loss of my independence became an opportunity for me to see random acts of love and kindness from others.
I learned how to live by almost dying. I wouldn’t change a thing and I pray I never forget the lessons.
