As I sat waiting for the morning session of the conference to begin, blaring over the speakers was this song, “Then I look at you, and the world’s alright with me, just one look at you, and I know it’s gonna be, A lovely day”.
Bill Withers is just belting out ‘a lovely day’ over and over again.
Sometimes I just wish we could have a sound track of uplifting music following us around all day long because the buzz of optimism in this room is palpable.
Sure it’s because we are at a great conference in a great venue. I have used this tactic before to lift my mood and to shift the mood of a group.
But you too can carry a soundtrack with you all day, in your mind and in your heart. Dance to your own beat and your own drum. Make it your own lovely day.
